Baubo Belly Dance welcomes Lucia Zahara who will share her extensive dance experience with us on June 13th with the 'Treasures of the Wild Woman' -  dance Day. Includes Ghawazee and Trance Dance workshops.See Calander for info.

Lucia is much in demand all over Italy, performing and teaching at festivals, she has choreographed theatre dance productions financed by the European Union, has been on tour with ‘Ifriga’ a Tunisian Berber group, has collaborated with International artists such as Sandip Chatterjee, santoor player (Dehli); Wendy Buonaventura (UK); Faisal Taher a singer from Palastine, she was guest of honor at the televised ‘premio teleton 2007’. She dances with musical groups “Ishtar”, “Amrita”, “Cantiriterra” and “Anima Meditteranea” with their show ‘il bacio della Taranta’ (kissed by the Taranta). Lucia has run children's theatre groups in Busan S.Korea 2001-2002; Has worked as part of ‘Artista di strada’, with her fire and dance shows all over Spain in 2000 and in Zakinthos.

Coming to Wales over the weekends of July 16 - 18 &  23 - 25th  - offering specialised workshops in their fields. A-Z master instructor Paola brings her global dance knowledge and passion for movement ritual, Suzanne A-Z assessor and touring A-Z master teacher will be sharing fresh new A-Z choroes and personal technique and teacher training workshops. Party on down with Suzanne and Paola on the 24th July at the Wales launch of The Belly Dancers Treasure Pack. Make it a short holiday come on down to wonderful Wales for the whole week and stay at Rainbow Mansion!

Guinevere - creative director of Baubo Belly Dance offers certified A-Z courses and workshops. She has been belly dancing for 15 years, originally inspired by Jacqeline Chapman in London.Following miraculous benefits to her body and soul Guinevere's joureny into Belly Dance was born. She see's Belly Dance as a rich resource that offers cultural insight, physical renewal, social opportunities and a spiritual path. Guinevere now lives in Wales and enjoys hosting internationally recognised teachers in her now native Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion.

Guinevere travels to Cairo to update her A-Z Belly dance skills and enjoys sharing this system along with AstroBelly Dance with other women. Her popular residential weekends allow women of all backgrounds, skill level and dance style to enjoy inspiring workshops in a freindly, relaxed atmosphere. Workshops are generally themed to aid focus on style and creative direction.

Guinevere's style is classical Egyptian with an edge of cabaret glamour and fun!  Her recent dances for performance seek to atune to Goddess Isis as she works closely with Isis Wings. She also performs with veils, sticks and candles. Guinevere is training for a classical Egyptian dance show with Hossam and Serena Ramzy and is also proud to have danced alongside Nik Turner (of Hawkwind) and his legendary saxaphone! Guinevere can fit her belly dance to any occasion from big promotional events to festivals and birthday surprises!

Guinevere performed in Cairo as part of the Sphinx Festival Entertainment in Dec 2009! Her performances have helped fund raise for many charities and she is a regular festival performer at Pembrokeshires - Celtic Blue Rock. Enquries welcome.

The Sun Dancers of Ra consist of Ruth Jenkins and Amy Johnson. Training with Baubo Belly Dance since their early teens they have progressed to promise great choreographies and scintilating belly dance to their audiences! The Sun Dancers of Ra have performed at Blue Rock Festival, Shimmer Showcase, been featured on S4C on the Mosgito television programme and enjoy sharing belly dance with their local community for fun and fundraising. The Sun Dancers of Ra offer kids and teenagers belly dance workshops and have a strong background in contemporary dance as well as master classes from Hossam and Serena Ramzy. They are also A-Z belly dance students!

Lyza is a Gothic Tribal Belly Dancer with an entrancing style. She performs around Wales and UK and has graced the Gothla stage. Lyza has trained with Ariellah, Sashi, Tempest and Morgana. A dancer with a deep and spiritual connection to her dance, Lyza infuses her work with mystery and magic!

Guinevere's choreography group, Jill, Amanda, Melanie, Rose, Julie and Sally offer enchanting  veil, wing and candle group dances. Performances include Shimmer Showcase, Blue Rock Festival, Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival, Tenby Carnival, Pontardawe Festival and more! All performers are part of The Baubo Moon Room, a community interest group that promotes the art of belly dance, fundraises and aims to advoacte the social and regenerative aspects of belly dance.
